The top 40 teams pass through the applications into the semi-final, the Sydney + Melbourne Rapid Fire Rounds (20 to each event).

The Rapid Fire Round is a quickfire pitch contest in which applicants have 60 seconds to pitch their business proposal in the hope of impressing one of our mentors.

Location: Melbourne CBD
Time: 5-8pm

The Sydney Rapid Fire Round will be held in conjunction with the Annual MTAA Conference, where semi-finalists will have the opportunity to pitch on stage.

A black-tie gala pitch dinner held in Melbourne where five finalists receive up to $10,000 each and a place in the Pre-seed Accelerator.

As an early-stage medtech startup, there are many risks that you will need to mitigate

Each team will have 10 minutes to present, with a subsequent 5 minutes for questions and feedback.

The Actuator Investor Panel will evaluate their pitch, opportunity attractiveness and progress against milestones. Collectively, they will decide one team to provide an additional $30,000 (non-dilutive) funding, entry into The Actuator Accelerator and a defined funding pathway to up to $2.7M equity investment.
