19-23 August (Online)
The top 40 teams pass through the applications into the semi-final, the Sydney + Melbourne Rapid Fire Rounds (20 to each event).
The Rapid Fire Round is a quickfire pitch contest in which applicants have 60 seconds to pitch their business proposal in the hope of impressing one of our mentors.
The Sydney Rapid Fire Round will be held in conjunction with the Annual MTAA Conference, MedTech19, where semi-finalists will have the opportunity to pitch on stage.

A deep dive into the commercialisation essentials and how to prepare for the Gala Finals, including mentoring from industry experts.
Topics include: Prototyping, Customer Development, Competitive Landscape, Market Segmentation, Startup De-Risking, Fundraising
9 October – 15 November (Online)
An intensive bootcamp covering areas such as Pitching for Investment, Doing your Market Research, Fundraising Strategies, and Regs & Reimbursement.
Date: 1 – 4 December
Time: 9am – 5pm
Location: Melbourne CBD
These are extremely hands on sessions, so in-person participation is required.
A black-tie gala pitch dinner, held in Melbourne. The top five teams, as determined by our expert judging panel, receive up to $10,000 each. There will also be a $1,000 People’s Choice Award.
