MedTech's Got Talent and GlobalData Healthcare - joining forces to provide critical support to early-stage medtech startups.

MedTech’s Got Talent (MTGT) is pleased to announce a partnership with leading Life Sciences market intelligence provider GlobalData Healthcare.

In it’s 4th year, MTGT is Australia’s premiere early stage medtech challenge, kickstarting up to 20 idea-to-seed-stage startups per year. The program is a unique entrepreneurship challenge, where participants tap into real resources such as funding, expertise, industry training, and networks to ideally position themselves for startup success – all with no impact on equity or IP. Every great innovation needs a business plan, and GlobalData Healthcare will support teams with proprietary market understanding and competitive benchmarking while they prepare for investment pitches and final scoring.

GlobalData Healthcare’s Medical Intelligence Centre is an online source of market metrics for the world of clinical devices and innovations. Used by TTOs, investors and manufacturers across Australia, the portal supports various angles of industry analysis, product/trial tracking, deal benchmarking and market understanding.

“We’ve a history of supporting commercialisation in Australia, and I’m delighted to confirm this partnership with MTGT”, said Anthony Murray, Regional Director for GlobalData. As part of the partnership, GlobalData will hold a workshop directly with teams to discuss the potential and pitfalls behind market analysis and how innovation translation is evolving with commercial opportunities in greater focus at earlier stages of development.

“Our missions is to support our homegrown talent within their local innovation ecosystems, and build incredible successes. We are eager to work with GlobalData to provide critical support to the game-changing medtech ideas that are bubbling up across Australia”, said Dr Buzz Palmer, CEO of The Actuator.
